Men's Hockey gets 7-1 win at St. Mary's

Freshman Cary Wood improved to 6-0 on the season in goal as he stopped 20 of 21 shots and the visiting Tommies received goals from seven different players in Friday night's 7-1 win over St. Mary's in MIAC men's hockey in Winona.
The teams close out the weekend series Saturday at 2 p.m. in Mendota Heights.
The Tommies (10-8-2 overall, 7-3-1 MIAC) outshot the Cardinals 47-21. Rob Phillip had a goal and two assists to lead a balanced attack. Karac Davis had 40 saves for SMU, which scored with 2:49 left on a goal by Nick Carlson.
