Alli Barthel is in her third year at St. Thomas after joining the Tommie staff in August 2021 as Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning. She was promoted to Associate Director of Strength and Conditioning in May 2023.
Barthel came to St. Thomas from IMG Academy, where she served as Senior Strength and Conditioning Coach. In her role at IMG, she oversaw staff of four full-time assistant coaches and the performance training of the 300 athletes in the IMG boys' and girls' soccer programs.
Prior to her time at IMG, she served as Director of Performance at Luther (Iowa) College. Barthel has also spent time in the strength and conditioning programs at Morehead (Ky.) State University, William Penn (Iowa) University, and Kansas State University.
Barthel resides in Minneapolis with her husband, Blaine, and their daughter, Tatum.
