Cam Holmes enters his second season with the University of St. Thomas women’s basketball program in 2025–26, serving as the Director of Operations. He joined the Tommies in June 2024.
In his role, Holmes manages a wide range of responsibilities. On the operations side, he oversees team travel, budgeting, and equipment coordination. On the coaching side, he works directly with the Tommie post players, compiles scouting reports, and handles recruiting logistics.
Throughout his coaching journey, Holmes has contributed to the development of several WNBA players, including his sister Mackenzie Holmes (Seattle Storm), Grace Berger (Minnesota Lynx), and Paige Robinson (Dallas Wings). Before coming to St. Thomas, Holmes spent two seasons as a Graduate Assistant at Illinois State, helping lead the Redbirds to a 46–21 record and a Missouri Valley Conference Championship in 2023. He was involved in basketball operations and individual player development during his time there.
Prior to his years with Illinois State, Holmes was an undergraduate practice player at Indiana University, where the Hoosiers went 90–36 during his tenure, including four NCAA Tournament appearances, two Sweet Sixteens, and one Elite Eight run.
Holmes holds a Master’s in Sport Management from Illinois State (2024) and a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Marketing and Management from Indiana University (2022). He currently lives in St. Paul with his wife, Kasey.
