Tommies open Summit League play at SDSU

ST. PAUL, MINN. – It's officially time to start the climb. After two months of nonconference play, the University of St. Thomas women's basketball team will officially open the 2025-26 Summit League schedule on the road. The Tommies will face perennial power South Dakota State to open conference play and ring in the new year on Thursday, January 1. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. in Brookings, South Dakota.
HOW TO WATCH
TICKETS: Tickets are still available for Thursday's Summit League opener through South Dakota State's official athletics website.
STREAMING: Thursday's game will stream on the Summit League Network and the MIDCO Sports Plus app. For the low price of $29.99 a month, St. Thomas fans can purchase a Midco Sports All-In package, giving them access to the Summit League Network, CCHA TV and all Tommie football games. For $9.99 a month, fans can purchase a different package, giving them access to the Summit League Network and all Summit League women's basketball games.
TOP STORYLINES:
"SINN"FULLY GOOD: Head coach Ruth Sinn is 17-3 all-time in conference openers dating back to the team's DIII days. The 21-year veteran coach lost just one Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) opener and is 2-2 since the Tommies made the lead to Division I in 2021. St. Thomas has won its last two conference openers, defeating North Dakota (2023-24) and Kansas City (2024-25).
