Mac Ideson began his employment with the St. Thomas Athletic Training staff in the summer of 2025 with primary sport assignments of Men's Soccer and Softball.
 
Mac has been employed by Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO) since 2019. Prior to St. Thomas, Mac was at Augsburg University providing care for Men's Soccer, Men's Basketball, Softball, Coed Golf, and Coed Indoor Track and Field where he helped multiple conference players of the year across his sports.
 
Mac graduated from Augsburg College earning a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science while also playing on the Football Team. After undergrad he went onto North Dakota State University and earned his Master's in Athletic Training working with various sports, including the Bison Football team that won the 2017 National Championship and professional baseball team, Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks.
 
Mac believes that Athletic Training plays an integral role in helping teams compete at the highest level by keeping them both physically and mentally healthy.
 
Mac is originally from Monticello, Minn., and currently resides in Saint Paul Park with his wife, Logan, and their three cats, Opie, Donna, and Vinny.
