Collin Boyles joined the St. Thomas Athletics Department as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in August 2022 and was promoted to Associate Director of Athletic Communications in June 2023.

Boyles previously served as the Interim Associate Athletics Director for External Relations at Bemidji State University since January 2022, overseeing all publicity and media relations operations for BSU's 15-sport athletics department.

Boyles spent over six years as the Assistant Director of Athletic Media relations with direct involvement overseeing BSU's football, cross country, men's and women's basketball, track & field and baseball programs. In addition to covering Bemidji State athletic events, Boyles has also volunteered at several regional and national tournaments including the 2016 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Sweet 16/Elite Eight in Sioux Falls, S.D., 2018 NCAA Division I Men's Hockey Frozen Four in Minneapolis and 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Final Four in Minneapolis.

Boyles, a Leeds, N.D., native, joined the Beavers after previously serving three years in the sports information field. As the sports information assistant with the University of Northern Colorado for 2013-14, he was the main media relations contact for women’s soccer, men’s basketball, men’s and women’s golf, and softball. One of his responsibilities included bolstering the athletic department’s social media presence through the use of press releases, infographics and photography.

Prior to working with UNC, Boyles began his athletic media relations career with Minnesota State University Moorhead as its sports information coordinator from 2011-13. In his two years with MSUM, he assisted with the athletic department’s website management, statistics, game-day media relations operations and writing press releases.

Boyles graduated from MSUM in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism before attaining his master’s degree in sport administration from UNC in 2014. He resides in Blaine, Minn., with his wife, Jamie, and their children, Lochlan and Lorelei.
