Philosophy major, member of St. John Vianney undergrad seminary… played football two years at FCS South Dakota before transferring to UST in January 2015… 2016: Missed most of season with injury… 2015: Named D-III Offensive Player of the Year and first-team All-America; just third UST running back named All-America in last 25 years (Ben Wartman, 2009; Colin Tobin, 2011); surpassed 100 rushing yards in 11 of 15 games, including three with 230 or more yards; broke 25-year old school record for rushing with 2,092 yards (5.9 ypc); first MIAC player to score 36 touchdowns and 218 points in one season; had 220 receiving yards, closed with 2,312 all-purpose yards (154.1 ypg); in five postseason games had 11 touchdowns, 653 rushing yards… played two seasons and redshirted once from 2010-2012 at South Dakota; had 100-yard rushing game at No. 1-ranked North Dakota State in 2013; 1,001 all-purpose yards (789 rushing, 4.8 ypc) and scored three TDs in 21 games with Coyotes… 2013 graduate of Sheridan High, where he was the 2012 Gatorade Wyoming Player of the Year, 3X all-state, all-time leading rusher in Wyoming prep football; at Sheridan surpassed 6,000 yards of offense with 70 touchdowns for his career; helped lead his team to the state championship as a senior… dad, Dan, played football at South Dakota School of Mines… son of Penny Roberts and Dan Roberts.
