Coach Schwickert enters his second season coaching for the Tommies. Schwickert started his collegiate career at Iowa Western Community College, where he helped the Reivers win the JUCO World Series in 2014 as well as a third-place finish in 2015. Prior to his junior season, Schwickert transferred to the University of St. Thomas.
In two seasons on Coach Olean’s pitching staff, Ian helped lead the Tommies to two MIAC Conference Championships, as well as a D-III regional tournament appearance. Following his first year at UST, Schwickert also pitched for the Duluth Huskies in the Northwoods League posting an impressive 3.17 ERA over the course of the 2016 season.
Schwickert is a native of Mankato, Minn., and currently works as a Real Estate Development Associate at Real Estate Equities in St. Paul.
