Tommies open September at home
ST. PAUL, MINN.- Tommies are back at home to face the Butler Bulldogs to start the month of September on Saturday September 5th at the South Fields in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Scouting the Bulldogs
The Butler Bulldogs hold a 1-2-1 record with their last game being on Sunday, August 30 against Northwestern where they fell by a score of 1-0. Saturday's matchup will mark the first time these two programs will play in their history.
New era of Tommie Soccer
Tommie soccer is entering a new era this season with the addition of a brand-new coaching staff. Gretta Macdonald, Becca Brandt, and Alex Piekarski are the new faces on the sideline and have taken the rains of Tommie Women's soccer.
Becca Brandt will be the interim head coach for the 2026 season as Head Coach Gretta Macdonald takes a leave of absence.
Brandt comes to St. Thomas with numerous coaching experience, most recently she served on Macdonald's staff for one season at St. Cloud State. Becca also spent time at UW-Madison as an assistant and recruiting coordinator (2022-2025). Brandt also spent her playing career at UW-Madison from 2014-2018; she served as the team captain in 2017.
Alex Piekarski also joins the Tommie staff as an assistant with a vast coaching resume. Piekarskie spent two seasons with Macdonald at SCSU. Prior to that, he spent five seasons as the head coach of Northwestern Oklahoma State. He also spent time as the head coach at NAIA Hastings College, and an assistant at Utah State and Wayne State College.
McEwan Making Plays
Junior Izzy McEwan was named the Summit League Offensive Player of the Week, for her two-goal performance the week of Aug. 24.
Izzy leads the team with two goals and four points. Freshman Norah Benson and Kalli Knowles each have an assist.
2026 Tommies
The Tommies return 15 to the squad and have added 10 new additions.
Schedule Talk
The St. Thomas Tommies will play seven games on home turf at South Field during the 2026 season. Five of the seven home games will be Summit League contests.
