McNeive climbs into top 10 after strong second round at Summit League Championship

Rexing remains in top five as Tommies move into fourth
MESA, Ariz. – Tyler McNeive led the charge for St. Thomas on day two of the Summit League Championship at Longbow Golf Club, firing a two-under-par 69 to move into the top 10.
The sophomore climbed 16 spots on the leaderboard, using five birdies to fuel his round. After making the turn at even par, McNeive bogeyed hole 10 but responded with a steady finish, carding five pars and birdies on 13 and 18.
As a team, the Tommies moved up one spot into fourth place with a second-round 290, bringing their two-day total to 11-over-par. St. Thomas sits behind North Dakota State, Denver, and South Dakota heading into the final round.
Owen Rexing remains in contention, sitting fifth overall at one-under-par after a two-over 73. The senior encounter a challenging back nine, recording five bogeys after holding steady early in the round.
Gavin Newkirk held his position in a tie for 24th with a one-stroke improvement from round one, carding a 73. Zach Rouleau, who was tied with Newkirk after Sunday, slipped to 28th after shooting a 75. Mason Roloff rounded out the lineup with an 82.
