TOP STORYLINES:
HI AGAIN: St. Thomas and Oral Roberts played each other in the final game of the regular season, the fastest turnaround between opponents in the DI era for Ruth Sinn and Co. The Tommies have never ended the regular season and opened the conference tournament vs. the same opponent since jumping to Division I in 2021. According to available records, it only happened twice in the DIII era with Sinn as head coach. The first time was in 2008-09, when St. Thomas hosted Hamline in the regular season finale and then turned around and hosted the Pipers in the MIAC quarterfinal three days later.
In 2011-12, St. Thomas played Saint Mary's (Minn.) in the final game of the regular season and then hosted the Cardinals in the semifinal round of the MIAC Tournament. Of note: the Tommies earned a first round bye as a top-2 seed and Saint Mary's won its quarterfinal contest.
SINNSATIONAL: Head coach Ruth Sinn announced her retirement following the 2025-26 season in early February. Since then, St. Thomas has won four of its final six contests to earn the No. 5 seed in the tournament.
