Three Tommies tally two hits
TULSA, OKLA.- The St. Thomas baseball team comes up short, falling 8-2 to the Golden Eagles of Oral Roberts.
Freshman Owen Marsolek had a career day on the mound as the starter tallying nine strikeouts in 6.0 innings of work.
Offensively, Matthew Maulik, Adam Puder, and Zan Von Schlegell each recorded two hits for the Tommies.
Scoring Summary
Oral Roberts struck first in the bottom of the first inning with a solo home run to take an early 1-0 lead. The Golden Eagles then went up 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth off an RBI double.
The Tommies showed off their power in the fifth when Adam Puder hit a solo shot to cut the lead to one. Two batters later Easton Fritcher hit a solo shot of his own to knot the game at two.
The Golden Eagles then broke the tie in the sixth when they plated one, taking a 3-2 lead. They then extended their lead to 8-2 when they scored five in the eighth.

St. Thomas will be back at Chapman Park Sunday, March 21 for the series finale against the Golden Eagles.
