Women’s Hockey falls to No. 10 Minnesota Duluth

DULUTH, MIINN. - St. Thomas Women's Hockey (12-19-1, 7-18-1) fall 3-0 to the No. 10 Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs (17-12-3, 13-10-3) on Saturday afternoon.
The Tommies out shot the Bulldogs 33 to 23 in Saturday's contest.
Scoring Summary:
First Period: Duluth netted the first goal of the game five minutes into the period to take an early 1-0 lead. The Tommies won the face off battle in the first winning 6 of 10.
Second Period: Although St. Thomas outs hot the Bulldogs 19-10 in the period, Duluth was able to extend their lead to two when they scored a power play goal at the 16-minute mark.
Third Period: The Bulldogs extended their lead to three scoring an empty net goal late in the third.

The Tommies will be back in St. Paul at Lee & Penny Anderson Arena for the final weekend of the regular series February 20-21.
