DULUTH, MIINN. - St. Thomas Women's Hockey (12-18-1, 7-17-1) falls 3-0 to the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs (16-12-3, 12-10-3) on Friday night.
Scoring Summary:
First Period: The first period was scoreless on both ends of the ice during the first 20 minutes of play. Julia Minotti played a huge part of keeping the Bulldogs off the board as she tallied 14 saves in the period.
Second Period: The Bulldogs struck first about six minutes into the second off a power play to take a 1-0 lead.
Third Period: Minnesota Duluth then scored a shorthanded goal to take a 2-0 lead early in the third. The Bulldogs then scored an empty net goal with just 1:50 remaining.
Up Next
The Tommies will be back at Amsoil Arena for the series finale against the Bulldogs Saturday, February 14th. Puck drop is slated for 3 p.m.
