St. Thomas reached the Summit League Tournament Championship game for the first time after finishing second in the regular season standings with a 24-10 record and 12-4 mark in league play. The Tommies' 73 wins over the four-year transition period is the second most by a transitioning program, all as the only program ever to transition directly from Division III. The Purple finished the 2024-25 season with a perfect 14-0 record at home including wins over two NCAA Tournament participants in Montana and Summit League champion Omaha. The Tommies' home winning streak is currently at a Division I-best 18 games, dating back to Feb. 8, 2024.
