Tommies set for showdown with #11 Idaho

ST. PAUL, MINN. – The University of St. Thomas could not have asked for a better start to the 2025 football season. The Tommies upended (RV) Lindenwood in their season opener on August 28, their first win over an FCS scholarship program in the DI era. With one big win already in the books, St. Thomas will look for another this weekend, as the team treks to Moscow, Idaho to take on the #11 University of Idaho Vandals on Saturday, September 6.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. CT.
HOW TO WATCH
TICKETS: Tickets for Saturday's showdown can be purchased on Idaho's official athletics website.
STREAMING: Saturday's game will stream on ESPN+. Fans can subscribe to ESPN+ (now ESPN Select) for $11.99 a month of $119.99 per year. A more expensive plan, ESPN Unlimited, is available for $29.99 per month.
RADIO: Fans can listen to Thursday's contest between St. Thomas and Lindenwood on 1500 ESPN and through the Varsity Network App.

TOMMIE TAILGATE: Tommie football will host the first Tommie Tailgate of the season this Saturday at Moscow Alehouse in Moscow, Idaho. The pre-game festivities will start two hours prior to kickoff at the below location:

TOP STORY LINES:
TOMMIE-VANDAL CONNECTION: The former Mayor of Boise, Idaho is a graduate of both St. Thomas and Idaho. Dave Bieter graduated from St. Thomas in 1983 with a degree in International Studies before receiving his law degree from Idaho and was a member of the Tommie football team in 1980 and 1981. His brother, John, was also a linebacker for St. Thomas from 1980-1982, and their father, Pat, played for the Tommies in the 1950s.
A HOMECOMING: Quarterback and Boise native Andy Peters led St. Thomas to its first win over a Division I scholarship program last weekend, piloting the Tommies to 447 yards of total offense in the win over Lindenwood. It was the team's best offensive performance in a home opener since 2019, the final year of Division III competition.
