SCORING SUMMARY:
First Quarter: It took St. Thomas a drive to get warmed up, as the Tommies went three-and-out on their first offensive drive of the game. After that opening drive, though, St. Thomas wasted no time finding the back of the end zone. One their second offensive possession, the Tommies took a 6-0 lead on yet another Andy Peters (Boise, Idaho / Timberline), his sixth touchdown pass of the 2025 season. He found yet another new receiver, Eli Paulson (Ramsey, Minn. / Anoka), giving St. Thomas a 6-0 lead.
Second Quarter: The Tommies 6-0 lead held through the second quarter, as neither team was able to score. Defensively, sacks by Max Mogelson (Mendota Heights, Minn. / Two Rivers), Ryan Sever (Edina, Minn. / Benilde-St. Margaret) and Jordan Pendleton (Memphis, Minn. / Lausanne Collegiate) helped keep the Wildcats off the board, as St. Thomas walked into the locker room with a 6-0 halftime lead.
Third Quarter: While the Tommies had an early chance to extend their lead, it was the Wildcats who dominated the scoring in the third quarter. After St. Thomas missed a 46-yard field goal attempt, Northern Michigan took over at its own 30 yard line and eventually took a 7-6 lead.
Fourth Quarter: Tommie fans were feeling nervous following the third quarter, trailing 7-6 and struggling to get going offensively. There was no need to worry, as Peters guided St. Thomas to two touchdowns in the final 15 minutes of play. His first, a 24 yard bullet to Koch, regained a 14-7 lead for the Tommies before he found Wagner with 3:04 remaining on the clock to cement the 20-7 victory.
