Both Track & Field programs nab USTFCCCA Academic honors

Women total 3.60 GPA, men finish with 3.50 GPA over 2024-25 academic year
NEW ORLEANS -- The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their annual All-Academic Teams on Monday, including both the St. Thomas men's and women's track & field programs.
The women compiled a 3.60 grade-point-average (GPA) and the men totaled a 3.50 GPA over the 2024-25 academic year, marking the fourth straight year in NCAA Division I both have achieved the 3.0 GPA standard to be named to the list.
In order to be named as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, the cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track & Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
The men's and women's programs combined for 10 selections to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team earlier this summer while the men totaled five Summit Academic All-League selections. Jonathan Bezdicek earned the Summit League honor during the outdoor season while Mitchell Piehl and Jack Rosner each garnered the award during both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
