Baseball falls to Minnesota in midweek contest

McNellis posts 2-RBI triple in loss to Gophers
St. Thomas was the first on the board in the nonconference contest. Lucas McNellis posted a 2-RBI triple, putting the Tommies up 2-0 in the second.
However, a six-run fourth inning gave Minnesota its first lead of the game, putting the Gophers up 7-2.
After two scoreless frames, Minnesota recorded five runs in the seventh, defeating the Tommies 12-2.
Joe Vos went 2-3, posting his team-leading 10th double of the season in the top of the seventh.
