Senior nabs second career conference award outdoors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Senior Jack Rosner set a program record and became the first member of the St. Thomas track & field program to earn multiple outdoor Summit League Peak Performer of the Week honors, following an announcement from the league office Tuesday.

The De Pere, Wis., native recorded the nation's 11th best decathlon mark of the 2025 outdoor season at the Drake Relays April 23-24. His program record score of 7,661, besting his own record of 7,249 set at the league's outdoor championships to end 2024, placed him fifth in the event.

Within the decathlon, Rosner won the javelin, placed second in the 1500-meter run, and finished third in both the pole vault and 110m hurdles. His pole vault mark of 4.85m is tied for fourth all-time at St. Thomas, and his javelin throw of 56.80m ranks eighth.

Rosner is the fifth Tommie men's student-athlete to earn the outdoor Peak Performer of the Week honor, and seventh overall including indoor seasons. He previously earned the award on March 26, 2024 following another record-breaking performance, setting the St. Thomas record in the 110m hurdles at the Victor Lopez Classic.

The Tommies return to competition Wednesday, April 30 at the Meet of the UnSaintly hosted by Hamline University. Field events begin at 11:30 a.m. with running events at 1 p.m.
