Track & Field to host St. Thomas Easter Invitational on Thursday

Throwing events start at 8 a.m. from O’Shaughnessy Stadium
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Tommie Track & Field prepares to host its lone home meet of the 2025 season April 17 with the St. Thomas Easter Invitational at O'Shaughnessy Stadium.
The meet begins at 7:30 a.m. with throws, followed by jumps and running events at 10 a.m. Because of forecasted weather, the pole vault and high jump will be held indoors at the Anderson Athletic Recreation Complex Fieldhouse.

Last Time Out
St. Thomas Track & Field put together a standout weekend across three meets, at the Arkansas Spring Invitational, Bethel Invitational, and Bison Outdoor Classic, highlighted by three program records and 22 new all-time top 10 marks. At the high-powered Arkansas meet, Danika Apple became the fastest woman in program history with an 11.52 in the 100m, Olivia Keller tied the 400m hurdles record at 59.96, and Jack Rosner broke the men's 110m hurdles record with a 14.01. The Tommies added two event wins, nine top-three finishes, and 27 top-10s in Fayetteville.
Back in St. Paul at the Bethel Invitational, St. Thomas athletes picked up three event titles and two more top-10 program marks. Hailey Shimon threw 46.32m in the discus, second-best in school history, while Lauren Rott won the shot put and moved to No. 8 all-time in the hammer. Elise Biorn also claimed victory in the triple jump. Meanwhile, at the Bison Outdoor Classic in Pennsylvania, four distance runners etched their names into the top 10, led by Ava Pankratz, who clocked the second-fastest 10,000m time in Tommie history at 35:39.12.
