The first Tommie to be named player of the week this season

ST. PAUL, Minn. – St. Thomas Softball (19-11 overall, 4-2 Summit League) was spearheaded by Laken Lienhard's offensive performances this past week to a 3-1 record over Creighton and South Dakota. The senior tallied seven hits and earned the Tommies' first Summit League weekly honor of the season.

The league office announced on Monday afternoon that Lienhard is this week's Kwik Star Summit League Peak Player of the Week after slashing .500/.588/.1.286 in four games last week.

She went 7-for-14 with two doubles and three home runs for 18 total bases. She came around to score six times and brought home six RBI while earning three walks. All three of her home runs came over the South Dakota Coyotes in the Toms' second consecutive Summit League series victory.

The Cresco, Iowa native is just the fourth Tommie all-time to receive a Summit League weekly honor and the first since Kaitlyn Raymond on April 22, 2024.
