Baseball earns 11-6 victory over Tarleton State

Tommies defeat the Texans in series opener
STEPHENVILLE, Texas – St. Thomas baseball opened its series against Tarleton State on Friday evening. The Tommies took the early lead in game one. Holding the lead through the entirety of the ballgame, St. Thomas defeated the Texans 11-6 in the series opener.
St. Thomas tallied three runs in the first two innings, gaining the 6-0 lead early in the contest.
Tarleton State scored one in the third, as they were then held off the until the bottom of the sixth frame.
2- RBI doubles from Matthew Maulik and Brigs Richartz led the Tommies to a four-run fifth frame, extending the Tommies' lead to 11-1.
After tallying one run in the sixth, Tarleton State added four runs in the final two innings. Holding its lead, St. Thomas defeated the Texans 11-6 at Tarleton Baseball Complex.
Richartz and Max Moris both finished the game totaling two hits and four RBI.
Through 5.0 innings, Marcus Kruzan (1-0) allowed one run in his second start of the season.
