Tommies defeat the Cougars, open season with a victory
MINNEAPOLIS -- The St. Thomas tennis team opened its 2025 spring season hosting the Sioux Falls Cougars.
The Tommies defeated the Cougars 7-0, opening the 2025 campaign strong.
RECAP
St. Thomas started the 2025 season with a win over Sioux Falls.
Earning the point in doubles action, the doubles pairings of Lily Olson and Shrichandrakala Tentu (6-0), and Ingrid Forsberg and Caroline Lindahl (6-1) defeated their Sioux Falls opponent on Saturday evening.
All six Tommies picked up wins in their singles match, lifting St. Thomas to a 7-0 victory:
1. Marthe Degeorges def. Chloe Siegfort (6-2, 7-5)
2. Caroline Lindahl def. Sofiya Janos (6-0, 6-0)
3. Anna Sidorenko def. Sydney Osburn (6-0, 6-0 )
4. Jannah ElNemr def. Ella Hancock 6-4, 6-2
5. Shrichandrakala Tentu def. Emily Thinnsen 6-2, 6-0
6. Lily Olson def. Jaelyn Haler (6-0, 6-2)
