Women's basketball announces 2024-25 schedule

ST. PAUL, MINN. – It's hard to believe basketball season is just around the corner. With fall teams kicking off the 2024-25 year, the University of St. Thomas women's basketball team unveiled its full schedule Monday morning after the Tommies announced their Summit League slate earlier this summer.
St. Thomas will play 29 games total in 2024-25, including 15 in the comforts of Schoenecker Arena. The Tommies welcome Milwaukee for their season opener on November 4 and also travel to Northern Illinois, Iowa State, Wichita State and Oakland during the first month of the season. That sets the tone for December, where St. Thomas is scheduled to play four home games after spending much of November on the road. The Tommies host UIC and Northern Colorado December 1 and 4 before hitting the road to play Idaho December 7. They then return home to host Western Illinois (December 14) and Drake (December 21) before the holiday break.
The Tommies nonconference schedule should prepare them well for the Summit League, as conference games are slated to start in early January. St. Thomas will open Summit League on January 2, when the team hosts Kansas City in its first conference game of 2024-25. In total, the Tommies will play eight conference games in Schoenecker Arena, including their home finale against Oral Roberts on February 26.
Fans can purchase women's basketball season tickets online at www.tommiesports.com/tickets. Purchase of season tickets will improve fans Tommie Score and will secure seats in the new Lee & Penny Anderson Arena. Launched in September 2022, the Tommie Score rewards longevity, loyalty and generosity to the St. Thomas Athletic Department. It will be utilized to determine priority for seating in Anderson Arena along with priority seating at away games, postseason tournaments, parking and potential seat upgrades following the arena's opening. Fans can earn five points for each season ticket package purchased in 2024-25 and will also receive an additional five points for attending 70% of home games as a season ticket holder. Fans can also earn points towards Tommie Score through philanthropic support to the Tommie Athletic Fund and other areas of engagement at the university.
