Women’s Soccer’s Lexi Huber receives Summit League honor

Senior, Lexi Huber has been named the Summit League’s Offensive Peak Performer of the Week.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Lexi Huber's back-to-back game-winning goals have netted her Summit League Offensive Peak Performer of the Week.
The Lakeland, Minnesota native led the Tommies to a 2-0-0 record last week with her stellar offensive and timely goals. She sent in the team's only goal in their 1-0 win over Marist last Thursday and came up clutch with a game-winner in the final minute to down Siena, 2-1 on Sunday.
"Lexi came out strong in both games and created great opportunities. She was able to put away both game winners and we are proud of her composure in front of goal," shared head coach Sheila McGill.
Huber is currently tied for the most goals in the Summit League with three through five games. She is the overall leader in goals per game at 0.6. Her two game-winning goals are also tied for the most in the conference. The senior's 1.2 points per game have her in third in the Summit.
This is the first weekly conference award for the 2024 Tommies and first since Olivia Rowe was named Defensive performer of the Week on August 28th of last year.
Coach McGill's squad (2-2-1 overall) takes their two-game win streak to Cedar Falls, Iowa to face the Northern Iowa Panthers (3-1-1) on Friday. September 6th at 4:00 p.m.
