Thoughts from men's head coach Pete Wareham:
"We had some good races today. The first race of the season often serves to shake off the cobwebs. We wanted our guys to experience the kinds of challenges that surface in every race. This includes staying focused when we begin to tire and how to stay in it.

"Also, we wanted guys to experience closing off the last portion of the race. We did those things and can now build off today's race."
