The Tommies got through just over half of their final round in South Carolina and finished tied for 11th place of 19 teams.

PAWLEY'S ISLAND, S.C. – St. Thomas Women's Golf climbed one spot in the standings at the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate after just over half of round three before the tournament was suspended due to weather. Freshmen, Kathryn VanArragon and Nicole Reineke, shot the best on day three with a +1 through 11 and +2 through nine, respectively.

VanArragon maneuvered her way up 16 spots from yesterday into a tie for 28th place for the Tommies' highest finish. She completed just 11 holes with one birdie on her third hole and a double bogey on her ninth. The Blaine, Minn. native improved in each round of the competition with a +6 on day one, +3 on day two, and +1 with eight holes left on day three.

The Purple's next highest finisher was Isabelle Lynch. She placed tied for 46th after a +4 performance through 10 holes on Wednesday. She too shot a +6 and +3 on days one and two and was tied with both VanArragon and Emma Davies for 44th place after 36 holes. She birdied one of the 10 holes she played today.

The aforementioned Davies dropped to a tie for 51st place with her +5 through 10 during the incomplete third round. She shot a +10 during the first round and shot one under par yesterday. Freshman Nicole Reineke tied with Davies in 51st place after her +2 through nine holes today. Reineke was on track to improve in each round with a +7 in round one and +5 in round two.

St. Thomas' final competitor, Caroline Monty finished tied for 90th place after a +8 through 12 holes today.

The Tommies finished 13 strokes behind the only other Summit League squad, North Dakota State, who took sixth place in the tournament. The Toms were seven strokes out of the top-10 and 15 outside the top-five.

QUOTING COACH HANNEMAN
"I am proud of our team. We did not play our best golf, but we managed to bounce back in the second round. We were disappointed that the final round was cut short. We look forward to Omaha next week."
