Women’s trio represent Tommie Track & Field at Raleigh Relays

Desotell and Pankratz to run 5000m Friday and Belany to race 800m Saturday
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- St. Thomas women's track & field prepares for another small outing March 29-30 at the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State in Raleigh, N.C.
Just three student-athletes will make the trip to Raleigh to race in the 800-meter run and 5000m run. Fans can follow along with live results HERE.
The Raleigh Relays will mark the first outdoor meet of the season for the Tommie trio of Alicia Belany, Molly Desotell and Ava Pankratz. Desotell and Pankratz will both run the 5000m run on Friday with the first section of the race beginning at 5:25 p.m. CT. Belany closes out the meet for the Tommies with the 800m run at 12:30 p.m. CT.
St. Thomas officially opened its 2024 outdoor season March 22-23 at the Victor Lopez Classic in Houston. The Tommies saw two program records broken between the women's and men's teams. The women's 4x100m relay team of Cassia Cady, Alexis Pratt, Taynian Walgrave and Rebecca Randleman set the program record in the event.
Pratt was named the TicketSmarter Summit League Track Peak Performer of the Week following her performance in the relay along with being a part of the 4x400m relay that finished third and fifth and ninth place finishes in the 100m and 200m dash, respectively.
