Four Tommies land on CSC Academic All-District Team

Galvin, Gustafson, Kealy, Voegele recognized for on and off the court successes
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- The success of St. Thomas volleyball continued off the court as four student-athletes were named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. Lauren Galvin, Ellie Gustafson, Morgan Kealy and Ella Voegele each were recognized for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Galvin, a senior psychology major from Woodbury, Minn., earned her second career selection to the list after ending her final season as a member of the Summit All-League Team. She played and started in all 28 matches and finished as the program's Division I career leader in kills, aces and points. Among the Summit League, Galvin ranked sixth in kills, eighth in points and 19th in digs.
Gustafson, a sophomore health promotion major from Monticello, Wis., landed on the team for the first time after playing in 24 matches and 91 sets. She set a season high 15 kills at Green Bay and 19 digs versus South Dakota. Gustafson averaged 2.44 kills, 2.8 digs and 2.77 points per set.
Kealy, a sophomore exercise science major from River Falls, Wis., was selected to the academic all-district team for the first time after being named the 2024 Summit League Setter of the Year. The Summit All-League selection set the program's DI single-season record with 1,020 assists and ranked second in the league in assists and ninth in digs.
Voegele, a junior biology major from Plymouth, Minn., earned her second selection to the team after starting all 28 matches. She tied for 41st nationally and led the Summit League in digs per set. Voegele set a season high 30 digs Sept. 6 during a win over Valparaiso and set the program's DI single-season record with 506 digs.
