Women’s Soccer publicizes 2025 National Signing Day class

Coach Sheila McGill has signed a solid class of five student athletes, including two from Minnesota, one from Florida, one from Ontario, and one from Wiscosin
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- St. Thomas Women's Soccer head coach Sheila McGill announced the 2025 National Signing Day class.
The signing class features five student-athletes, including two from Minnesota, one from Wisconsin, one from Florida, and one from Ontario.
Ashley Abruzzo (GK, 5-10, Eagan, Minn., Eastview)
High School
Ashley was named varsity captain and Team MVP while competing for Eastview High School. She received All-South Suburban Conference and All-Sectional honors. She has earned three Cumlaude Awards for her impeccable work in the classroom.
Personal
Ashley is the daughter of Kerry and Nicholas Abruzzo, and she has two siblings, Abby and Annabelle. Abruzzo is currently undecided on her major.
Blythe Alderson (Def, 5-8, Burlington, Ont., Corpus Christi Catholic)
High School
Blythe earned the Senior Soccer Longhorn Award along with the Multi-sport Athlete Award. She was awarded an HCDSB Gold Medal in the 800m and 1500m during her time away from the pitch and on the track. She also earned a spot on the Honor Role every semester as well as the Academic Excellence Award.
Personal
Blythe is the daughter of Carlee and Chad and has four sisters, Marie-Claire, Bethany, Kiera, and Katelyn. She is planning to major in Biology of Global Health.
Molly Armstrong (Mid, 5-7, Verona, Wis., Verona Area)
High School
Molly was named a varsity captain for two seasons and earned All-Big 8 Conference honors. She is also a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal
She is the daughter of Tami and Chris Armstrong and has two siblings, Jordan and Mason. Her sister, Jordan, played volleyball at Penn and her brother, Mason, plays football at Butler. Molly is planning to major in business and communications.
Kate Gorden (Def, 5-7, Eagan, Minn., Visitation)
High School
Kate is a three-time All-Tri-Metro Conference honoree. She has also been named to the High Honor Roll at Visitation along with being an AP Scholar.
Personal
She is the daughter of Scott and Tina Gorden, and has three siblings, Hannah, Marissa, and Jack. She plans to major in nursing.
Georgiana "Georgie" McNeil (For, 5-5, Winter Garden, Fl., West Orange)
High School
Georgie was a varsity starter all four years at West Orange High School. She was her team's leading scorer for three of those four seasons. Led her team to a conference championship in 2023 and was named her team's MVP in 2022 and 2024 and given the Hustle Award by her team in 2023. She was also named a Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA) All-State selection. She is a member of the National Honor Society and has earned a 4.9 weighted GPA over her time in high school. She is an AP Scholar and was named a FACA All-Academic honoree.

She is the daughter of Patrick and Jina McNeil and has one sibling, Ruthie. She plans to major in engineering
