Women’s Golf signs one international golfer from Class of 2025

Karen Lind Stefansdottir, a native of Kopavogur, Iceland, will be joining the Tommies in the fall of 2025
ST. PAUL, Minn. – Tommie Women's Golf coach Katie Hanneman has announced the second signee from the Class of 2025. Karen Lind Stefansdottir will join the St. Thomas program in the fall of 2025.
"We are thrilled to welcome Karen Lind to our Tommie family. As our first international player, Karen brings a lot of experience having played with Team Iceland. She will be an immediate impact player!" shared Hanneman.
Karen Lind is a native of Iceland and daughter of Stefan and Jenny Stefansdottir, she has two siblings, Anna and Gabriel. Her father, Stefan played soccer at Methodist University and brother, Gabriel, played soccer at Reinhardt University.
She was named the 2022 GKG Golf Club U18 Golfer of the Year. She has been recognized three times by her hometown for outstanding performance. She represented Iceland at the U18 European Girls Team Championship in 2022. She was also the GKG Club champion in 2024. She has carried a 4.0 GPA through high school.
She will be joining a program on the rise that continues to set highwater marks every competition. The Tommies are currently in their winter break after ending the fall season on a high note with team and individual titles at the Tommie Invite in mid-October.
