Tommies to host Iowa State, Wisconsin
ST. PAUL, MINN. – Temperatures are cooling and the calendar turned to September, which means the University of St. Thomas women's basketball season is just around the corner. Ahead of their third Division I season, the Tommies unveiled their 2023-24 schedule, which is jammed packed with Power Five competition, both on the road and at home.
St. Thomas is slated to face some big-time opponents in the upcoming year, as the Tommies will play teams from the Big10, Big 12 and Big East in 2023-24. St. Thomas will welcome Iowa State (November 29) and Wisconsin (December 13) to Schoenecker Arena and will also play host to Central Florida (November 15) and Utah Valley (November 18) during the first month of a jam-packed schedule. The Tommies' road schedule is equally as competitive. In addition to opening the season at Drake on November 6, St. Thomas will travel to California for games against St. Mary's, UC Irvine and Butler over Thanksgiving before traveling to Western Illinois, Milwaukee and Purdue-Fort Wayne to open December.
The Tommies nonconference schedule should prepare them well for the Summit League, as conference games are slated to begin in late December. St. Thomas will open Summit League on December 29, when the team hosts North Dakota before participating in one final nonconference tournament, the Big Sky-Summit Challenge, January 4-6. From that point on, it's all Summit League games for the Tommies, who will host Oral Roberts, South Dakota, Omaha, Kansas City, Denver, North Dakota State and reigning conference champions South Dakota State throughout the months of January and February.
Fans can purchase single-game tickets for women's basketball online at www.tommiesports.com/tickets. Additionally, St. Thomas women's basketball home and conference games will stream exclusively on The Summit League Network and Midco Plus Sports. The subscription-based network will cost $9.99 per month or $79.99 for an annual plan, and the fee provides fans and alumni with the opportunity to watch St. Thomas from a variety of devices through the Midco Sports Plus app, including phones, tablets, TVs, and web-based browser interference.
