Women's Golf unveils complete 2023-24 schedule

St. Paul, Minn. – St. Thomas women's golf head coach Katie Hanneman has revealed both the fall and spring portions of the 2023-24 schedule for the program's third year at the Division I level. The team will play four tournaments in the fall and five tournaments in the spring, including the Summit League Championships in Lincoln, Neb. 
 
Coach Hanneman on the 2023-24 schedule, "I am excited to get the season underway. We improved tremendously from year one to year two and now with a strong freshman class, we are primed to see more improvement this year."
 
The Tommies begin the season at the NDSU Fall Match Play in Cass County, N.D. at the Oxbow Country Club (Sept. 5-6) hosted by the North Dakota State Bison. Following that tourney, the team travels to Normal, Ill. for the Red Bird Invitational hosted by Illinois State at Weibring Golf Club (Sept. 10-11). The two-day invitational hosted 15 teams in 2022 and welcomes the Purple for the first time in the Division I era. 
 
After a short break, the team heads back to the Big O Classic at the Oak Hills Country Club in Omaha, Neb. (Oct. 2-3), for the second consecutive season. The fall schedule is rounded out with a home meet as the Tommies host the Tommie Invitational at the Minneapolis Golf Club in St. Louis Park, Minn. (Oct. 10-12). 
 
"We are thrilled for the chance to host another home event at Minnesota Golf Club to conclude our fall schedule," offered Hanneman. 
 
St. Thomas opens its championship season Feb. 12-14, 2024, with Mountain Classic Match Play hosted by Wyoming in Palm Desert, Calif. After one month without a competition they head to Las Vegas, Nev. for the Boulder Creek Classic hosted by South Dakota State (Mar. 11-12). 
 
The Tommies' busy April begins with the Golfweek Any Given Tuesday Intercollegiate in Pawley's Island, S.C. (April 1-3). Their last contest before the Summit League Championships is a familiar one. The Stampede at the Creek hosted by Nebraska Omaha (April 8-9) at Indian Creek Golf Course in Elkhorn, Neb. 
 
Their season concludes with the Summit League Championships at Wilderness Ridge Golf Course in Lincoln, Neb (April 21-23).
