Women's Tennis plays Coyotes, Mavs this weekend

St. Paul, Minn. -- Tommie Women's Tennis is down to its final 10 days of the 2023 season, with two chances this weekend to record its first conference victory.
The Purple (0-4 Summit) play Friday April 7 at South Dakota (1 p.m.) and compete again Sunday April 9 at home against Omaha (11 a.m.) at Bloomington's 98th Street Lifetime Fitness courts.
Both South Dakota and Omaha have 1-3 conference records. Last season, the Toms fell 7-0 to Omaha and 6-1 to South Dakota, but much tighter contests are expected this weekend.
The Toms' four Summit League losses this season include three defeats by 4-3 margins. On the season, St. Thomas has been in seven matches decided by a 4-3 scores, and is 1-6 in those contests.
Last Sunday, the Purple lost 4-3 to North Dakota, a team that has 5-2 wins over both South Dakota and Omaha.
The Tommies close their season on the road April 16 at Western Illinois.
