COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Early walks set up a first inning deficit leading to an 18-3 loss by St. Thomas baseball Monday afternoon against Air Force in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The Falcons put its first three batters on base by walks and followed with one run on a ground out RBI and a two-RBI single. Air Force extended its lead to 7-0 before the opening frame was over behind another two-RBI single through the right side, a run scored on a St. Thomas error and an RBI single to center field.

The Tommies left one Falcon baserunner stranded in each of the second and third innings before Air Force scored eight runs on five hits and one St. Thomas error to extend the lead to 15-0.

St. Thomas put runners on base in every inning before finally scoring in the eighth on four hits.  Wyatt Jensen and Max Moris led off the eighth with back-to-back singles to set up an RBI double by Joe Roder. Sam Kulesa followed two at-bats later with a two-RBI single to drive in Moris and Roder.
