Pawley's Island, S.C. -- Freshman Emma Davies continued her strong finish to the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate as St. Thomas Women's Golf took 15th as a team on Wednesday in Pawley's Island, S.C.
The Tommies shot a 306 on Monday and a 310 on Tuesday before a 312 on Wednesday. The Purple were four strokes away from 14th-place Gardner-Webb.
Isabelle Lynch paced the Tommies and finished tied for 39th with a score of 230/71-79-80. Davies recorded her second round of 75 in as many tournaments to lead St. Thomas during the final day of the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate. She finished with a 232/81-76-75 to rank tied for 46th overall.
Courtney Wedin shot a tournament-best 77 on the final day with a final score of 233/78-78-77 to finish tied for 51st. Caroline Monty shot 239/82-77-80 to place tied for 68th and Lauren Contreras shot 244/76-84-84 to finish tied for 79th.
James Madison won the event with a score of 865 followed by UNC Greensboro at 882 and UNC Asheville at 884.
St. Thomas returns to the course April 10-12 for the Stampede at the Creek hosted by Omaha in Elkhorn, Neb.
