So close, but Women's Tennis takes another 4-3 loss

Waterloo, Iowa -- Progress continues in Tommie Women's Tennis' second Division I season. It's just not being reflected so far in the team won-loss record.
For the second day in a row, St. Thomas dropped a 4-3 decision in non-conference play. Friday, it was tourney host Northern Iowa posting the win over the Toms. Saturday, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville took the W.
Coach Lois Arterberry's team (0-5) also dropped a 4-3 decision seven days ago to Bradley. But hope remains that some close matches can start going the Purple's way as the season unfolds.
St. Thomas' Marthe Degeorges, Jannah ElNemr and Nicole Snezhko took singles wins Saturday over the Cougars (5-1).
The Toms play at home Sunday Feb. 26 to play Northern Illinois in a non-conference test at Bloomington's 98th Street Lifetime Fitness courts.
