Another tight game, this time close loss for Men's Hockey

Sault Ste Marie, Mich. -- Host Lake Superior State converted a power-play goal with 1:42 left in regulation time Friday night and held on for a 2-1 victory over Tommie Men's Hockey in CCHA play.
St. Thomas never led. Luke Manning scored a tying goal late in period two to make it 1-1. But that would be the only scoring play of the contest for St. Thomas (9-20-2). Josh Eernisse and Luc Laylin.
The Toms outshot the Lakers, 37-25. The Purple only took two penalties all night, but LSSU took advantage of the second one.
Aaron Trotter stopped 23 shots for St. Thomas. Ethan Langenegger stopped 36 of 37 shots for the Lakers.

The teams close out the weekend set with Saturday's 5:07 p.m., Central time clash on LSSU's ice.
