Ella Boerger collects third WCHA honor of her career

Recording three points against Bemidji State, freshman forward is named WCHA Rookie of the Week
St. Paul, Minn – First-year Ella Boerger was given a WCHA honor for her strong performance this weekend at the Saint Thomas Ice Arena, named Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league's office on Monday.
This is the third time this season Boerger has been named WCHA Rookie of the week, previously named Oct. 9th and Nov. 12th.
The Andover, Minn. native scored two goals and recorded one assist against Bemidji State last weekend.
The Tommies defeated the Beavers 4-2 on Friday evening. In Friday's win Boerger scored two goals, including the game-winner, and tallied one assist, totaling three points. This game marked Boerger's sixth multipoint game and fourth three-point game of the season.
In 21 games played, Boerger (8 goals, 10 assists – 18 points) leads the Tommies' offense and has passed the program's single season record in points scored. The previous record was 13 total points set by Maddy Clough (2022-23 season) and Abby Promersberger (2021-22 season). Boerger has also surpassed the single season record in assists (previously eight). Boerger currently leads Rookies in the WCHA in points this season and ranks 14th among all WHCA skaters.
