Women's T&F makes academic honor list

St. Paul, Minn. - Both the St. Thomas women and men's track and field teams were repeat honorees on the USTFCCC All-Academic Team award for 2021-22 by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA).
Coach Steve Mathre's women compiled a 3.469 team gpa for last school year to rank in the top 100 of more than 230 programs recognized. In season one of competition in Division I, the Purple placed sixth in the Summit League in both the February indoor meet and in the May outdoor meet.
Mathre's men compiled a 3.255 team gpa for last school year to rank in the top 80 of more than 170 programs recognized. In season one of competition in Division I, the Purple placed fifth in the Summit League in the February indoor meet and took fourth in the May outdoor meet.
