Good golly, Molly is hurdles runner-up to help Women to 6th place

5/14/2022 4:46:00 PM | Women's Track & Field

Tulsa, Okla. - Graduate transfer Molly Reighard ended her college track and field career with a bang Saturday at Oral Roberts University. The Tommie super-senior, seeded fifth, took second place in a career-best time of 59.96 and claimed all-conference honors in the final day of the three-day Summit League championship meet.

A Waconia, Minn., native, Reighard took nearly 2.5 seconds off of her season-best time and nearly two seconds off of her career-best 61.71 recorded in 2021 while competing for Loyola (Ill.). That time also broke a 17-year-old Tommie school record by more than a second. Molly Bauman's 60.83 from 2005 held the old record.

Reighard hand a hand in 12.5 team points to help the Toms place sixth out of eight teams with 19 points. She joined Taynian Walgrave and freshmen Hannah Cornelius and Hailey Hindt on the seventh-place 4x100 relay in 48.72. She also joined Grace McGuire and Hindt and Cornelius on the sixth-place 4x400 relay in a season-best time of 3:54.87.
