Men's T&F scores in 2 of opening 3 events at Summit meet

Tulsa, Okla. - Senior Parker Feuerborn placed fourth in the hammer throw with a 204-10 best to score five team points and lead Tommie Men's Track and Field on Thursday's opening day of the 2022 Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Three of 21 men's events were decided on Thursday -- the hammer, javelin and the 10,000 meters. The Tommies also have four men competing in the decathlon, which started Thursday and concludes Friday.
The decathlon is one of six final events on Friday, with 12 more on Saturday.

fter three events, St. Thomas and Oral Roberts are tied for fifth place with six points. North Dakota State (40) leads South Dakota State (30) atop the standings followed by South Dakota (23) and North Dakota (12). 
In Thursday's javelin, Matt Escher collected one point with an eighth-place finish in 159-7. Josh Dolezal (157-2) and Nate Raddatz (153-8) were close behind in ninth and 10th place.
In the 10,000, the Purple had three young distance runners making their racing debut at the 25-lap race. Sophomores Harris Anderson and Charlie Caven and freshman Tony Weeks placed 10-11-12. Anderson clocked 32:52.05; Caven ran 33:43.66; and Weeks finished in 33:44.89.
In the decathlon, Tommie sophomore Nate Raddatz (3,571) and freshman Jack Rosner (3,345) sit in third and fourth place with events remaining on Thursday. The pair sit just behind NDSU's Eric VanErp (3,634) and South Dakota's Wyatt Lubarski (3,618). St. Thomas' Sam May (3,316) sits in sixth place, and Cameron Schulz (3,248) holds down 10th. 
In the decathlon long jump, Raddatz hit a career- best 23-6 1-4 -- the best outdoor long jump mark by a Tommie over the last five seasons. Rosner had career bests in all five Thursday events as he leaped 22-1 3-4 in the long jump, was the first decathlon finisher in the 100 dash in 11.15, and had a career-best 49.85 in the 400 dash.
