Men's Golf concludes day one of Summit League Championship

Newton, Kan. - St. Thomas men's golf (+6) finished day one of the Summit League Championship on Sunday in seventh place.
The Tommies were led in round one by Matthew Armstrong (-1) after a strong performance including a -2 showing on the back nine. Armstrong birdied four times on Sunday and twice over the final three holes of the back nine.
Ben Frazzini posted a strong round one performance after birdying three times, twice between holes No. 10-18, and going -1 on the back nine. His +1 to par round one was second on the team.
Matthew Garside and Cole Nasby tied with a +3 round one. Garside tallied four birdies, and C. Nasby totaled one. C. Nasby also picked up an eagle on hole No. 16 to finish +1 to par going in. Jack Nasby was +8 on the day and birdied on hole No. 16.
The Tommies are competing in their first Summit League Championship after debuting in the conference as part of the 2021-22 season.
