Men's Golf in sixth after day two at Summit League Championship

Newton, Kan. - St. Thomas men's golf (+8) moved up to sixth place after the second day at the Summit League Championship.
Matthew Armstrong and Cole Nasby both sit within the top 25 of the player leaderboard following day two of the annual Summit League postseason tournament. Armstrong found success on the back nine with a -2 showing after birdying holes No. 13-16. C. Nasby was +1 on the day and birdied five times, including holes No. 5-7.
Jack Nasby bounced back with the best round two performance for any St. Thomas golfer, including a -1 back nine, and was even on the day. J. Nasby birdied on five holes and thrice birdied between holes No. 12-17.
Matthew Garside and Ben Frazzini amassed five birdies between the two golfers on Monday. Garside posted a +3 for the day and all three of his birdies came on the back nine. Frazzini was +8 for the day going +4 on both the front and back nine.
The Tommies shot 296 in round two following a 294 performance in the first round on Sunday. Opening the day in seventh, the team evened with Western Illinois and trails Kansas City by four strokes for fifth place.
