St. Paul, Minn. - Home games await St. Thomas softball (8-24, 3-3 Summit League) as the team welcomes South Dakota (18-16, 3-3 Summit League) for a three-game weekend series.

Leading Off
Returning home, St. Thomas welcomes South Dakota in for a weekend series. The two teams play a Saturday doubleheader beginning at 12:00 p.m., and a single game on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

Chasing No. 700
Coach Trotter is now 16 wins away from 700 career victories. 676 of Trotter's wins came with Missouri Western at the Division II level. Trotter earned her first Division I win in a 6-5 victory against Ball State on Feb. 11.

Last Time Out
The Tommies matched up with Green Bay for a road doubleheader on Wednesday. The Purple came close to a game one rally victory, putting up three in the top of the seventh, before faltering in the bottom half of the frame. St. Thomas exploded for 13 runs in a game two win at the Phoenix, helped by three RBI from Mackenzie Rudy.

Getting Going in Green Bay
The Tommie offense set new team records (Division I) at Green Bay. St. Thomas set team marks in runs (13), hits (16), RBIs (11), and stolen bases (6). The team also stole home twice in the win in game two at the Phoenix.

Carby Carves Up Pitchers
Cassidy Carby is third on the team in RBI (17) this season. The newcomer drove in four runs at Green Bay on Wednesday. Against Canisius on March 19, Carby hit two home runs and drove in six runs, setting a career high in both stats for a single game.

Staying True to Isabelle
Transfer pitcher Isabelle True picked up a win at Green Bay, the first of her Division I career, after striking out four in six innings and allowing two earned runs. True leads the team in ERA (4.20) and is tied for the team lead in saves (1).

Series History
This weekend marks the first time that South Dakota and St. Thomas have played each other.

Scouting Report
Last weekend, South Dakota picked up a 5-3 win in game one of the series against SDSU. South Dakota is led offensively by Courtney Wilson, who is batting .327 and has driven in 14 runs. Aleesia Sainz has hit a team-high 10 home runs and driven in 25 runs. Ciara Edwards has posted a 2.40 ERA with 10 wins for the Coyotes.
