4/28/2022 2:18:00 PM | Baseball

St. Paul, Minn. - Coming off last weekend trio of games against Northern Colorado, St. Thomas is set to play its fifth Summit League series of 2022. The Toms play three at home against Western Illinois.

Rain in the Saturday/Sunday forecast prompted the schedule change to a 1 p.m. Friday doubleheader at Koch Diamond. The series' final game will be played Saturday or Sunday afternoon, depending on the weather.

St. Thomas has won five of its last seven games and has won back-to-back weekend series by 2-1 margins at Tarleton State and at home vs. Northern Colorado.

The Toms are batting .271 (77-for-281) over their last eight games after hitting just .212 over their first 25 games.

After this weekend, the Toms play their next 10 games on the road. That includes two next Tuesday at Milwaukee, then three next weekend in Tulsa, Okla., at Oral Roberts.
