St. Paul, Minn. - St. Thomas heads to Brookings, S.D. for the penultimate Summit League series of the regular season. It is the first time in program history that the Tommies are facing the Jackrabbits.

Chasing No. 700
Coach Trotter is just 12 wins away from 700 career victories. 676 of Trotter's wins came with Missouri Western at the Division II level. Trotter earned her first Division I win in a 6-5 victory against Ball State on Feb. 11.

Last Time Out
The Tommies were tripped up by the Gophers on Tuesday in a 9-3 road loss. Freshman Cassidy Carby went yard for her team-leading eighth home run of the season.

Isabelle is Staying True
Junior transfer Isabelle True leads the team in ERA (3.45) in her first season at the Division I level. True is second in complete games (4) and third in pitching wins. In her last 27.0 innings, True has allowed just six earned runs (1.55 ERA).

CJ is Catching Fire
Junior outfielder Coryn Jacobson has been outstanding at the plate in her recent five games, batting .714 (10-14). Jacobson was 7-8 at the plate with one run, a home run, and four RBI in the three-game series against North Dakota. Reaching base by any means, Jacobson walked twice, was hit by two pitches, and was even intentionally walked by North Dakota. At the Gophers, Jacobson went 2-3 with an RBI.

Freshmen Bringing the Sticks
This season, St. Thomas freshman are batting .311 (130-418) with 15 home runs and 59 hits. The freshmen have accounted for 46.7 percent of the team's hits, 51.7 percent of the team's home runs, and 42.7 percent of the squad's RBIs. St. Thomas is led offensively in batting average by freshmen Brooke Ellestad (.442) and Kaitlyn Raymond (.350). The pair of newcomers have combined for 96 base hits entering Thursday, which accounts for 34.5 percent of the team's total hits.

A Hit Parade
Ellestad, Raymond, Sarah Hudson, and Jacobson have all tallied at least six multi hit games this season, including Ellestad, who leads the team with 18. Three different Tommies have recorded four hits in a game (Sydney Mickett, Ellestad, and Raymond). Five times Ellestad has recorded a three-hit performance, and Raymond, Hudson, and Jacobson have all reached the three-hit feat thrice. Raymond leads the team with the longest active reached base streak (11 games). Hudson has tallied a multi RBI game eight different times in 2022 to lead the Purple. Cassidy Carby is the lone Tommie to record five or more RBIs in a game this season.

Climbing the Summit
Ellestad and Raymond both sit in the top six in the conference in batting average, as Ellestad ranks first (.442). Ellestad also ranks in the top five in slugging (.642), OBP (.469), OPS (1.111), and hits (53). Raymond is in the top 10 in the Summit League in OBP (.433), hits (43), and walks (18). Cassidy Carby's eight home runs are fifth in the Summit League. Teammate Ellestad sits in t-9th in the conference (6). Isabelle True holds the ninth-best ERA (3.45) and opposing batting average (.281) in the conference. Christina Crawford has pitched 106.1 innings and struck out 83 batters, both of which are top eight in the league.
