Lynch and Kim lead Women’s Golf in first day of the Summit League Championships

Newton Kan. - Freshman Isabelle Lynch and junior Claudia Kim paced the Tommies in the first round of the Summit League Championships on Sunday.
"It was the first day of Summit League championships, I felt like we played fairly well outside of a some big numbers," said Head Coach Katie Hanneman. "I think day-by-day on the golf course we will improve I'm glad to see the entire group improve."
Lynch and Kim each shot an 83 in the first round and are tied for 38th overall.
As a unit, the Purple finished the first round with a team score of 335 and in ninth place.
All five Tommie golfers finished between 83 and 86 on the day. Also competing for St. Thomas we're freshman Lauren Contreras (84), sophomore Paige O'Neal (85) and junior Sophia Dooman (86).
The Tommies tee-off the second round of action Monday morning at 8:00 a.m.
