Tommie Baseball (3-11 overall) is set to play a single game Monday March 21 in Iowa City against the Iowa Hawkeyes. First pitch is 4:05 p.m. The game was moved up one day due to rain in the Tuesday forecast.
The Purple split a pair of games Wednesday March 16 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, falling 6-5 in 11 innings to Mount Mary University and recording a 14-1 victory over Iowa Wesleyan.
The Tommies have incurred eight one- or two-run losses among their 11 defeats -- all road games.
Wednesday's games were No. 500 and 501 on the 13th-year head coaching career of St. Thomas' Chris Olean (341 wins).
The previous weekend, the Purple lost 9-0 and 3-2 in Evanston, Ill., against Big Ten member Northwestern University. The Toms also lost a March game to Minnesota of the Big Ten, 12-0.
